On February 9-10, 2012, CARHAP Tajikistan conducted a two-day coordination meeting with management of ten partner HRSOs. The main purpose of the event was to discuss the progress of HIV-prevention activities supported by CARHAP in Tajikistan in 2011 and identify priority areas for the remaining period and after the programme closure.

On January 16-20, 2012 CARHAP Tajikistan arranged a 5-day training in Dushanbe for its partner HRSOs on effective HIV prevention among sex workers. Training was facilitated by the regional consultants Kristina Makhnicheva and Shahnaz Islamova.

On October 31 - November 4, and December 19-23, 2011, CARHAP in Tajikistan conducted a two-stage training for social workers from ten partner HRSOs on improving quality of harm reduction and HIV prevention services provided in static service delivery points.

 Harm reduction service organisation (HRSOs) of Kyrgyzstan implementing projects for the most-at-risk populations (MARPs) - injecting drug users (IDUs), sex workers (SWs), prisoners and ex-prisoners - are starting to apply a systemic approach for provision of quality services
