CARHAP is funded by UKaid from the Department for International Development and implemented by GRM International to contribute to averting a generalized HIV/AIDS epidemic in Central Asia, encompassing Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
On February 9-10, 2012, CARHAP Tajikistan conducted a two-day coordination meeting with management of ten partner HRSOs. The main purpose of the event was to discuss the progress of HIV-prevention activities supported by CARHAP in Tajikistan in 2011 and identify priority areas for the remaining period and after the programme closure.
On January 16-20, 2012 CARHAP Tajikistan arranged a 5-day training in Dushanbe for its partner HRSOs on effective HIV prevention among sex workers. Training was facilitated by the regional consultants Kristina Makhnicheva and Shahnaz Islamova.
On October 31 - November 4, and December 19-23, 2011, CARHAP in Tajikistan conducted a two-stage training for social workers from ten partner HRSOs on improving quality of harm reduction and HIV prevention services provided in static service delivery points.
